Letter

.
Letter to Mother

We’re just two people who have built a life full of love, laughter, and family—and who are ready, with open hearts, to welcome a child into it.

We may not know your exact story, but we know that you’re trying to do something loving and brave—and that matters deeply.

We’re not here to write the perfect letter or tell you we have all the answers. We’re just two people who have built a life full of love, laughter, and family—and who are ready, with open hearts, to welcome a child into it.

You’ll learn more about us in our profile —our home, our traditions, our family —but we hope what stands out most is this: if you choose us, your child will grow up in a home where they are celebrated, protected, and deeply loved every single day.

We’re so grateful that you’re taking the time to read this. However your journey unfolds, we’re sending you strength, love, and peace with every step.

Why Adoption:

This isn’t just a decision for us—it’s our dream. And we’re so grateful to even be considered.

.
From our second date, we were already talking about building a family. It’s one of the biggest reasons we moved—to be close to our extended family, so our future child could grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and support.

We dated for two years before getting married in 2019. Since then, we’ve made the most of life—traveling, seeing live music and sports, hiking, visiting national parks, and just being silly together. We also work out together most mornings—it’s how we start our day as a team.

We’ve always wanted to be parents. After several years trying to grow our family naturally, we realized adoption is the path meant for us. We’re ready—fully and completely—to give a child all the love, joy, and stability we can.

This isn’t just a decision for us—it’s our dream. And we’re so grateful to even be considered.
Our Story:

We value experiences, community, and staying present in the moment.

Wedding Day!
Matt:
I’m outgoing, driven, and big-hearted. I grew up close to my family, surrounded by great friends. Sports were a big part of my life growing up—basketball, soccer, and especially track and field (my favorite races were the 800 and 1600 meters).
I had the unique opportunity to live in New York City in my early 20s. I was waiting tables and living with my sister at the time. 6 months later, I found a job that would lead to my career and my opportunity to get my Master's Degree in Business.

Today, I run a small business with 35 employees and spend time mentoring other local business owners. One of my favorite things is speaking at events to help small businesses grow. I also love being outside, whether it’s hiking, exploring new places, or just listening to the birds in our backyard.

Losing my dad at 12 made me grow up fast—and also made me want, more than anything, to be the kind of present, loving parent he was.

    Fun Facts:
  • Favorite Movie: Star Wars

  • Favorite Music: Hip Hop and Reggae

  • Athletic Feat: I once ran a mile in 4 mins and 37 seconds

  • Travel: I’ve traveled to 6 out of the 7 continents (Not sure Antarctica is in the cards)

  • Michelle:
I’m the youngest of six kids and come from a big, joyful, loud, and loving family. Growing up, our house was always full of laughter and support. I loved science, math, and staying active—playing tennis and cheering helped me grow confident and build strong friendships.

Today, I work at a nonprofit focused on health and technology. I’m lucky to do work that helps people and gives back to the community. I also volunteer at our local church’s food kitchen during the week—it’s important to me that people feel seen and supported, even in small ways.

More than anything, I’m ready to grow our family through adoption and share everything I’ve learned about love, encouragement, and care with a child.

Hobbies/Travel:We love to explore—whether it’s a big international trip (like Japan, Rome, or Paris) or a cozy weekend getaway to places like Portland, Denver, or Chicago.
Outdoors, you’ll find us hiking, kayaking, or simply walking with Winnie. Indoors, we’re fans of comedy shows, musicals, live music, and pretty much anything that brings people together.

We value experiences, community, and staying present in the moment.

We are Excited to Share and Our Promise

We can’t imagine the strength it takes to even consider an adoption plan. You’re making a decision that takes incredible love and courage, and we have so much respect for that.

Our Villiage
We can’t wait for the everyday moments—reading books at bedtime, walking to the park with Winnie, helping with school projects, and making pancakes on Sunday mornings.
We dream about family vacations, showing our child new places, and exploring the world together—whether it’s across the globe or in our own backyard. We want them to grow up curious, confident, and always knowing they are deeply loved.

Promises:
We can’t imagine the strength it takes to even consider an adoption plan. You’re making a decision that takes incredible love and courage, and we have so much respect for that.
While we can’t promise exactly what the future holds, here’s what we can promise:

If chosen, your child will be loved completely and unconditionally. They’ll grow up in a safe, happy home with two parents who show up, who listen, and who cheer them on every step of the way.

They’ll have books to read, adventures to go on, and a big extended family ready to welcome them with open arms.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope our story gave you a glimpse of the home, love, and future we’re excited to share.

Traditions

Family traditions are the heartbeat of our lives, and we’re excited to share them with a child. Sundays were sacred growing up—every week, extended family would gather at our grandparents’ apartment or meet up for Dim Sum. Those gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of presence that makes a child feel truly supported and surrounded by love. That spirit of togetherness still lives on in our lives today. We both come from families who celebrate holidays with heart and joy. Hanukkah parties, New Year’s get-togethers, Friendsgiving, and Sunday meals are still big events in our home. Christmas Eve is especially meaningful in our family, full of fun games, homemade Mexican food, and attending Catholic mass together. It’s a night filled with laughter, warmth, and love. It’s a night filled with love, laughter, and joy. On Easter, one of our favorite traditions is cracking colorful confetti eggs on each other’s heads—it always ends in lots of giggles and unforgettable memories. These moments are some of my most cherished, and they’ve made me even more excited to become a parent and create meaningful, joy-filled traditions with a child of our own. One of the most special things we do each year is take one of our nieces or nephews on a one-on-one trip to the city of their choice. It’s our way of creating lasting memories, celebrating their individuality, and nurturing their sense of wonder. Those experiences have been some of the most joyful and meaningful parts of our lives—and a beautiful reminder of how ready we are to be parents.

Our Families

Family means everything to us. We both grew up in a warm, supportive household. Matt’s family: My parents met when they were counselors at a summer camp. I grew up with my parents, sister, and several dogs. I was lucky to grow up with my grandparents, great-grandparents, and even my great-aunt nearby. They showed up for everything—every sporting event, birthdays, and make-believe plays—and created a foundation of love and consistency that shaped my entire childhood. My father passed away when I was 12, and I was fortunate that his brother (my uncle) was like a hero to me growing up, and we were and are very close. He was the best man at our wedding. Michelle’s family: I’m the youngest of six, with three sisters and two brothers. I’m also a proud aunt to eight wonderful nieces and nephews. We spend a lot of time together, and I’m often babysitting on weekends. One of our favorite activities is baking and trying out fun recipes together. These moments bring me so much joy and have given me lots of hands-on experience, nurturing and caring for little ones.

Home

Our home is in a newly built community filled with young families, lots of kids, babies, and friendly neighbors. It’s the kind of place where kids ride bikes on the sidewalks, parents chat while walking dogs, and everyone shows up for the neighborhood events. One of our favorite parts of living here is the park just beyond our backyard—it’s an easy walk and features a great playground where families gather often. The neighborhood also has a community pool, a dog park, and fun family activities hosted throughout the month, like outdoor movie nights and seasonal celebrations. Inside, our home is filled with natural light that makes it feel bright, open, and peaceful. The backyard is one of our happy places—we love sitting outside, listening to birds, and grilling dinner together. We also have a cozy movie/playroom that's perfect for a child to explore, play, and make memories. It's already filled with love and ready to be filled with laughter.

Meet Winnie

Winnie is our lovable Cavapoo—half King Charles Spaniel, half Mini-Poodle, and 11 pounds of pure cuddle and personality. She’s gentle, endlessly friendly (especially with kids), and a champion tennis ball chaser. Walks, naps, and barking at bicycles are some of her favorite pastimes—and she’ll absolutely be your best friend the moment you meet her.
